Licensing Sudoku Studio costs ...

The cost of a Sudoku Studio license depends on the number of computers covered by the license according to the following table.

6th - 10th $ 5 each
11th-30th $ 4 each
31st-100th $ 2 each
after 100th $ 1 each

For example, a license covering 3 computers costs $10 + $8 + $8 = $26. A license covering 18 computers costs $10 + 4($8) + 5($5) + 8($4) = $99.

The Sudoku Studio program as well as Sudoku puzzles and solutions generated by Sudoku Studio may be used by individuals and non-profit organizations for non-commercial purposes. Use of the program, sale of the program, or use of any of the puzzles or solutions it generates for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited without prior written agreement with author Jon Kane.

Sudoku Studio is marketed as SHAREWARE. This means that you may obtain, install, and use the program for evaluation purposes at no charge. After Sudoku Studio has been installed on a computer for 30 days, it will begin to remind you that it is time to purchase a license for continued use.

When you purchase a license for Sudoku Studio, you will be given a license code which needs to be installed on every computer covered by your license. Usually, you will receive your license code on a computer file named SSLicense.txt supplied to you as an attachment to an e-mail sent to you by program author Jon Kane soon after your purchase is recorded. Licenses can also be read to you over the telephone or sent to you by post, although e-mail delivery is the fastest and easiest way to obtain your license code. The Help pull-down menu contains a selection to help you install your license code. Once your license code is installed, Sudoku Studio will display the license name. This is usually the name of the person purchasing the license but can also be the name of an organization if the license covers a set of computers owned by that organization.

IF YOU WILL BE THE ONLY PERSON USING YOUR Sudoku Studio LICENSE,
then you may purchase a license for a single computer. You may install your licensed version of Sudoku Studio on as many computers as you like as long as you will never be using Sudoku Studio on more than one computer at a time and no other person will be using your licensed version of Sudoku Studio. 

IF MORE THAN ONE PERSON WILL BE USING YOUR Sudoku Studio LICENSE including other family members, friends, or colleagues, then you are required to purchase a license for each computer on which your Sudoku Studio license will be used. 

IF YOU ARE MAKING Sudoku Studio AVAILABLE ON A COMPUTER NETWORK by installing the program on a server where it can be accessed from multiple other computers or workstations, then you must purchase a license for each computer and workstation that will have access to that Sudoku Studio on that network. If your network is equipped with software where you can limit the number of copies of a program in use at any one time, and you limit the number of copies of Sudoku Studio that can be used at any one time, then you need only purchase a license for that limited number of copies.
